It was still raining as Mairead zipped up her coat. She had hoped it would have petered out around midday, but apparently the weather disagreed. It was hard to tell how intense it was, just judging by the patterns on the window. Unfortunately, that was one thing her nonfunctioning ears couldn’t help her with.
