Kanasta: Getting a bad Rhap

Back to the Kanasta tribute series, with something a little different.

If you follow her closely, you'll know that Kanasta plays bass and co-fronts a band called Rhapsody with her best friend Regina Venus, who is the guitarist. Both take singing duties together and are backed up by goth pixie D on keyboards/synth and proper hench Native American Orion Rigel on drums.

Despite the fact that I'm a musician in real life, I don't get the chance to draw people with instruments that often. I have a good interest in guitars and drums myself, so I thought it would be cool to draw Rhapsody in action... with an extra ingredient. The band were nice enough to invite the Chimp to jam with them in one of their gigs. Unfortunately, they're not familiar with his hammy showmanship, and much to Regina's chagrin, he shreds out to the crowd. That Chimp loves putting on a show.

I will say this: I had to trace the guitars and partially the bass because I wanted the people playing them here to use actual instruments. The Chimp here is using a Gibson Les Paul Custom in Alpine White (because I love Gibsons, and this is one of my favourites along with the CS-356 Bigsby), Regina is using a black Rickenbacker 330 (Chaz is a FLCL fan and suggested a "Ricky", so I gave her one of its most well-known guitars), and Kanasta is using a Trinity River acoustic bass (again, suggested by Chaz). Also, I went with Regina's blonde look because it makes her looks that little bit more sexier and grown-up than her more well-known purple-haired look.
